I bought an 18' Tracker Grizzly and have extended the casting deck, created storage, a livewell compartment, and carpeted it for comfort. I used 2x4 and 2x3 for the support braces of the extended deck and stoage compartment. They were fastened to the boat using galvanized brackets. The support braces were coated with Rustoleum Spar Urethane Varnish. The deck itself was 3/4" plywood which was sealed with epoxy resin from US Composites Inc. I purchased the boat carpet at Lowe's and applied it with 3M Super 77 contact cement. The hinges and locks were also purchased at Lowe's. The deck is screwed down with stainless steel decking screws.

Complete interior rebuild of an old v hull fishing boat. Turned out pretty nice for my fishing. Boat will be run on 2 12v trolling motors this season, then it will get a 15-25 hp outboard and a livewell added for next season. Boat is 16' long, 58" wide at the widest point, and has a 50 inch bottom at the back. The deck was placed at the level of the former benches. I have not fished out of it yet, but at that height it should be plenty stable (I've done this before). Oh, also plan to add 2 fishfinders eventually.

A man approached me about restoring an old Grumman Skiff he has had a very long time. It has a new motor, and the hull was structurally sound with the exception of the transom being rotten. Its just a small 14ft aluminum skiff, so it couldnt take that much work. Could it? Yea right. Countless hours of sanding and taping for the pinstripes and labeling. And more hours on little details...but he was very happy with the end result

Complete rebuild of 1978 Stoner 22' center console boat. This boat belonged to my uncle who used it from when it was built until a few years ago. He gave it to me in July 2006. Once I got it home and started digging into it it was obvious that the deck, stringers, transom, console, livewell and gunwales were all rotten. All I was able to salvage was the fiberglass shell of the hull.

It started with new carpet in the boat. Now it is new stringers and decking. Who knows where it will end.

Supra boat restore/conversion to bass boat
Submitted by user Hydrilla
I picked up this little boat with the plan of turning it into a little bass boat that I could take out and do some serious fishing. I knew it needed some work, but I didn't realize to what extent. Although, it didn't really surprise me since it's an 81 model. The plan is to rebuild the transom, do what needs to be done to the current floor, and build raised casting decks. I sold the 35 hp motor and plan to get a little bit bigger outboard eventually.

I found this one and could not pass it up. I got a call from a friend who gave me the information where to find it, so it was worth a look. I ended up towing it home and was going to restore it when time allowed. I have been cussing with my Chris Craft project, so why i got yet another project is something even i don't understand. After seeing the amount of time I had put into my Chris Craft and seeing at all the other things I have going on, I decided to sell it for what I put in it. Hopefully it will find it's way back to the water soon. Kind of sucks and I miss it. Maybe someday I will pick up another one with fins.
