Need to find out just what the AI means at the end of the serial number.
Also need to find out what the plastic tube is below the new chrome piece under the serial number. Methinks this MAY not...be original equipment.

Speaking of not being original equipment...While not proper parts, not a bad job of engineering in an attempt to get a dead motor running again. I think I'll need to revert to the right parts.

Here is the newly added Seagull next to one of my other relics. An electric trolling motor from 1961. Silvertrol that only needed to be rewired, and now it runs great. I hang it off my 1961 aluminum jon boat and drown worms every now and then.

this is the control end of the electric trolling motor. Even has the decal of the long-gone boat shop in Bethesda, MD where it was purchased new. Yes, I do have all the original paperwork for the purchase of this and the boat, and the battery charger that came with it too.
