Just brought her home

Sure needs some fixing up...
That paint is rough as hell.
Looks like it's going to need a new coat or coats of paint.
After I check for leaks at the seems and such

up on the horses for inspection

looks like it just needs some sealant at the inside bow seams, and a few pellet gun dings bumped back out
Well, and a new coat of paint. lol

SunRay?

I can't find ANYTHING abot this company online anywhere

Built to last

She sure is a strong boat :-)

taking a trial run

Here is a 12 foot aluminum "Sunray Meteor" model "A-12464 " ... I don;t know what year this fine fishing boat was manufactured. She's being pushed along nicely by a 9.8 hp 1978 model Merc 110

Woot

Loo at her go !!!
That's a 9.8 horsepower Mercury model 110 made in 1978.
The boat planes at about 1/4 throttle....
it will handle 12 horsepower maximum engine size.
It's a really fast boat for it's size

Face lift

After first spraying the hull down with a mixture of 50% white vinegar and 50% distilled water, and letting that solution dry, I sprayed the boat with a base coat of brown primer, followed by brown enamel. I used the brown as a base coat so that when I spray the final red enamel the brown will darken the red a bit.
I hope it works out as planned. I'm also planning on a polyurethane clear coat on top of the paint to give it some depth and make it more slippery in the water.

She's getting there
