A jewel of a package from bubble wrap

 

Materials List

1)White box. Free got at a pharmacy
2)Gold spray paint. We used Color Place / fast dry (0.97 Wal-Mart)
3)Package of 5 color Bic permanent marker cost less than $3
4)Invisible scotch tape less $1 & double stick tape less than $2
5)Bubble wrap, had some scrap
6)Scissors. To cut bubble wrap & tape
7)Fixative: You can buy at a craft or art store.

 

How to Steps 1 & 2

Note: Practice painting on some scrap pieces of bubble wrap before painting your package.

1)Don’t forget to pack gift in box and than tape box up.
2)Cut bubble wrap to your box size. (Diagram A) sides A & B

 

How to step 3

3)Wrap box with bubble wrap

 

How to step 4

4)Bubble side out & use invisible tape. Tape bubble wrap to box (Diagram A) cut the two ends to fit sides C & D using double stick tape on the edges of box & mount bubble wrap. Than trim edge if needed. When trimmed go to step five

 

How to step 5

5)Spray bubble wrap with light coats paint until looks covered. Let paint dry before each coat. The bubble part might be a bit transparent, that’s Ok. Than spray with fixative so gold paint does not flake off. Do this outside & should not try & paint all sides at once. Let dry & turn box over to do other sides until all is painted.

 

How to step 6

6)Take the markers and put the colors on the bubbles. You might have to do a second coat on some of the bubbles or just leave the bubble wrap gold.

 

How to step 7

7)Put a bow or ribbon on package or just leave as is it looks like a box covered in jewels.
