platform seating area

Floor is done

Floor is done waiting for seating storage and Floatain foam.

The front and sides setup and cut to fit.

I cardboard the seating area as it is not flat. Then i joined the two with a 1x2 piece of wood.

Rear area removed

I removed the rear area as I still need to install fuel. wiriring, steering. throttle cables. All new and i will keep you up to date on progress. I will be epoxycoating these pieces also.

Completed the seating are now called STORAGE.

All corners are reinforced with a 1x2.
In the previous picture you can see there is a port and starboard area. The Starboard side gets the battery. I might add another to the port (this) side.

Rear bases are now installed and glued into place

The bases are not yet epoxy coated. They are glued with epoxy mixed with milled glass fibers.

I cut and installed the bases in the front of the boat

As you can barely see the new bases are set in place and epoxy gel was added to almost all edges where they meet the boat. I had a hard time getting it all but as it is dry now I can freely move in and finish this up. I am a little wider than 16 and 1/4".

The board near the top rear is a temporry brace to be sure it is straight and the correct distance apart.

As you can see the plywood is not sealed yet. I will seal it up prior to installing the foam that is needed.

Front bases are now installed and glued into place

The bases are not yet epoxy coated. They are glued with epoxy mixed with milled glass fibers.

Rear area top trail fitted

I trial fitted the top rear areas. I had to carefull cut the hatches as the 90 degree angles turned out to be 102 or 89. Oh well it fits now.

I cut the hatch area

I cut the hatch are thats where the battery sits. I will epoxy coat the interior and then will mount the hatch with hinges. There used to be seats that fit here but I think its a bad Idea as they are subjected to the roar from the outboard!

starboard front storage area

You can see the starboard front storage area and under the console is a place for more foam.

Port trial fit

I trial fitted the portside top. Looks very good. I had to cut the base a small amount as it was a .5 inch to high. I must have missed something along the line.

I wanted curved corners

I cut four 2 inch holes to get the corners curved.

Strorage hole cut wheew

I carefully joind the edges of the curves. This worked pretty well.

Starboard side storage complete

It looks like I got the hole in the right spot!
