Here's our new "Tow Vehicle" for the boats etc. It will haul 3000+ pounds ( rated) no problem at all. She's a real creampuff :-) and an absolute joy to drive.

While looking for an older aluminum fishing boat, we found this little gem in the back corner of what you might call a boat junkyard. Though not really a junkyard, it contains many boats that are doomed to even the most die hard restorer. After some negotiation we bought her and a 1971 50 horse Johnson for 1200 bucks. Did not want the trailer because it was all rusted through and would need modifications to become a functional boat trailer. We decided to build our own. Were originally planning to make it a center console, but ditched that idea due to numerous factors.

18' Bluefin Aluminum Rebuild Restoration
Submitted by user Cpt_Quint
Hello all, I have begun a journey that is sure to have a few ups and downs. The project begins with a good deal on a 1983 Bluefin aluminum bow rider. To me this boat looks like a copy of a Starcraft aluminum boat. Check back now and then to see the progress. This project will go on all winter.

This boat was my grandfathers and happened to sink during Katrina. I was looking for a project boat (I have a 77 32' Trojan that is just about complete) and decided to take this one on. It is a great near shore fishing boat as the w/a was very deep and usable. My first step was to get the SUZI rebuilt inorder to make the project worthwhile (it was not pickled). After that the boat was/is undergoing a major rebuild. I will rebuild the transom (from cutout to full), stringers, floor, cuddy cabin, wiring, etc.
