This will follow the actual restoration of my Haines 16R. Already the hull has undergone a transom rebuild with splashwell modifications(see transom/splashwell project). I endeavour to produce a high quality hull with no expense spared. In the end, the hull will be totally modified and hopefully a later model engine installed

The Ensenada 20 was manufactured from 1972-1981 by Coastal Restoration Inc. in Costa Mesa and was also built under the RK-20 name by their subsidiary RK Industries in Strasburg Virginia. There were many interior, rig, keel trunk, rudder, and interior design changes over the years, making almost every E20 on the water today a "One-Of-A-Kind.

This is a project boat I picked up for a decent price. It's a little more work than I had originally anticipated, but I look forward to getting started and finally using the boat when done. It will be used primarily for fishing, but also for pulling a tube and general putting around the bays and bayous. The work will require a transom rebuild, new stringers, new floor and a few modifications that I think will help make the boat more comfortable for both fishing and pleasure boating.

bought a boat as a project that needed a "little" interior work....... here is the description from e-bay: 18.5' Phantom Ski Powerboat w/ Trailer in TX Vehicle Description 18.5' Phantom Powerboat item# 25-49312013-2349 FREE TRAILER Construction: Fiberglass Engine Make : Cobra Engine HP : 175 # of Engines: Single Engine Type : I/O Engine Fuel : Gasoline Trailer : 1 axle Donor comments: This powerboat comes with a FREE trailer and an outdrive. According to the donor," The trailer is road worthy." However, we have not inspected this item and can not verify the donor's claims. This ski boat needs a new floor and rehopolstery. The engine has not been ran in a few years, but the donor said he did not have any problems with it when it was last used. The outdrive (lower unit) has recently been rebuilt. We cannot confirm these statements, sold as is where is. The trailer is a tandom not a single, the engine runs like a dream and the previous owner provided documentation to the rebuild of the outdrive by a "reputible" dealer in the area. The dealer told the previous owner that there was what appeared to be a little rot, and should be looked at. Problem was, they did not say that until after the work on the outdrive was completed??????? see the project to follow.

This is a ski boat that I bought for $1.00. The motor would not run, the trailer has rust on it was without lights, the boat leaked and had rotten wood, torn seats and a rotten floor throughout. Many of the rails are missing. She hasn't been in the water for 5 years.
