Restoration of a 1959 Alumacraft Model FDR and 1959 Mercury Mark 35A outboard. If you can help with parts for the boat and or motor, please email me at ironcounty@sbcglobal.net There were only 702 of the Model FDR built between 1959 and 1960. My serial number is 257 Since ALumacraft starts serial number runs at "100" this is the 157th FDR built. It weighs less than 300 pounds

This is my first true restore/rebuild project. I picked up a 1972 Silverline with a Johnson 65hp OB and trailer for FREE. I then picked up this Glastron for $100. It needs the works...transom, floor and stringers..AND alot of elbow grease. I chopped and dropped the Silverline off at the dump. The Glastron has way cooler lines. (12-22-2006) I have re-organized project into sub projects and added some more pictures.
